Gradings 2021
Colour Belt Grading - June 2021
On June 5th 2021 the South West TAGB clubs held our first live grading since February 2020. While still under heavy restrictions at Okehampton Table Tennis Club students from Launceston and Tavistock TKD gave it all they had and as a club came away with a 100% pass rate and the only A-pass across all clubs who graded.
Congratulations go out to Eva Woodward, Wenna Cartwright, Lola-Blue Lee, Kaitlyn Garrod, Minnie Cartwright and Lucy Hunt who all put in stellar performances to all achieve their next grade in their Tae Kwon-do journeys.
Further congratulations go to Lucy Hunt. Not only did Lucy achieve her green belt, she also gained the only A-grade pass and grading award out of 31 students who graded on that day! Well done Lucy!
We're proud of you all and wish you well in your continued TKD training.
A special thank you goes out to Master Guy Southard for not only organising and directing all the volunteer helpers at the grading but for also demonstrating for our colour belt graders! Thanks you Sir!
Finally our gratitude goes out to GM Dew for making the journey down to Okehampton on a very busy Saturday to grade our students.
Gradings 2020
Colour Belt Grading - February 2020
This
The first grading of 2020 commenced on a very stormy day with GM Dew making a very wet journey down from Bristol.
​
With 6 clubs represented from across the South West TAGB the standard was incredibly high.
​
There were 5 A-grade passes awarded across the board with an amazing 3 achieved by students from Launceston. Congratulations to Daisy Matthews, Eva Woodward and John Titley.
​
John was awarded his 9th "A" pass giving him A grades for all his coloured belt gradings as well as the grading award for Launceston.
​
Team Launceston once again achieved 100% pass rate. Congratulations to Shelley Greenaway, Albert Fidler, Matilda Matthews, Minnie Cartwright, Wenna Cartwright, Daisy Matthews, John Titley, Eva Woodward and Charlie.

Nadine Wright was presented with her Black Belt certificates by GM Dew. Well done to Nadine.
​
A big thank you goes out to Lowenna Barnes for demonstrating throughout the grading as well as to James Hunt and James Naylor for their assistance with sparring and theory participation.
​
As always thank you to Helen Naylor for providing refreshments for the cafe and to Victoria Naylor, Lucy Hunt, Kaitlyn Garrod and Claire Woodward for assisting in the running of the cafe.

Gradings 2019
Colour Belt Grading - November 2019
It was a very special grading for Launceston Tae Kwon-do this time around. A day of firsts for the club. 3 white belts all gained their first TKD grade passing convincingly! Well done to Lynette Brooksbank, Gethin Brooksbank and Albert Fidler!

Eva Woodward again proved how well she is progressing with not only her first A-pass but she was also winner of the Grading Award! We're looking forward to her next grading and watching her grow.
​
Lowenna Barnes performed brilliantly for her first time as demonstrator since gaining her 1st degree black belt. Lowenna was presented with her black belt certificate by GM Dew.
​
Many congratulations also go to Darren Cartwright, Wenna Cartwright, Emma Fraser, Kaitlyn Garrod and Lucy Hunt for gaining their TKD grade and continuing to progress.
​
A special thanks goes out to Claire for stepping in and helping out with canteen duties while Lucy and Kaitlyn were grading.
Colour Belt Grading - September 2019
Congratulations to Emma Fraser, Minnie Cartwright, Wenna Cartwright, Matilda Matthews and Darren Cartwright for passing their grading! Very well done. A-grade passes were awarded to John Titley and Lucy Hunt with John taking the grading award. A special mention to Eva Woodward on passing her first Tae Kwon-do grading, the first of many for this great new talent.
