2021 and Beyond!
A somewhat belated Happy New Year to everyone!
We can all agree that 2020 and the first few months of 2021 was a very unique time for us all. As did many sports teams we were forced to close our doors but this doesn't mean we went away. Like the majority of the country we carried on with the sport we love via Zoom training sessions and later on outdoor training sessions wherever we could.
For Launceston Tae Kwon-do early 2020 brought with it more change than the media would publicise. Our Instructor, Mr Paul Bunn retired from Tae Kwon-do after many years of growing our club. He handed over the reins to two of the South Wests best, Mr Daniel Hunt and Mrs Anna Hunt creating Launceston and Tavistock Tae Kwon-do.

Mr and Mrs Hunt worked tirelessly to keep our club training albeit virtually at first. Virtual training, video gradings and even a virtual Christmas party hosted by Mr and Mrs Southard of BOP Tae Kwon-do (www.facebook.com/boptaekwondo) were the norm for much of 2020.

As restrictions eased we found ourselves training outdoors in Launceston Coronation park and within the grounds of Tavistock College.

We're now well into 2021 and looking at getting back to normality. We're back inside at Launceston College, although under some slightly tougher regulations, and back to live gradings.

Thank you to everyone in the TAGB especially Mr & Mrs Hunt for allowing us to carry on doing what we love.

Remember :-

COURTESY
INTEGRITY
PERSEVERENCE
SELF CONTROL
INDOMITABLE SPIRIT

Here's to the future of Tae Kwon-do and the TAGB and in the words of Mr Hunt...

LET'S SMASH IT!
